About Rosie

I have always been interested in understanding others perspectives, what has led them to be on the path they are now? For me, counselling is about creating a non judgemental space, an opportunity for clients to explore themselves, be able to discover and express their inner thoughts and feelings and to feel empowered.

My journey started back in 2005 when I studied Psychology at undergraduate level.

I decided to train further as a counsellor and completed a Diploma and then Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling to further develop my skills as a counsellor. Throughout this process I undertook my own personal therapy so that I could better understand my own inner world, what has led me to feel and think the way I do and help gain a true perspective.

From 2009 - 2020 I worked as part of Psychology teams in various adult mental health services. Within these services I have run groups and helped individuals with a number of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, anger management, identity issues and relationship difficulties. I volunteered for a charity offering low cost counselling  to adults for 4 years, providing both long term and short term support. I established my own private practice in 2019 and really enjoy being able to provide a space for people to be able to explore, reflect and gain insight and perspective.
