Sadly for a long time conversion therapy was practised in the U.K. I’m not sure about whether it still occurs elsewhere, I imagine it still happens here which breaks my heart.
2 years ago the BACP published that the British government would be seeking to end conversion therapy. I was surprised that in 2018 that only just became a thing.
Love is love. Love, respect and belonging can occur between lots of different people. My practice has always been focused on allowing clients to explore their love, identity, gender and every aspect of their lives without judgment.
